STARTING NEW CORD PROJECTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• CORD will facilitate and guide interested Chinmaya Mission centers in
Indian subcontinent develop their programs for rural and slum populations based on their local needs.
• Important criteria would be the availability of a suitable person at the Center with an aptitude for developmental work as well as a willingness to devote time to the project.
• A nucleus team of one leader and 3-4 grass root workers would be trained for about one month at Sidhbari, along with representatives from 2-3 other
centers. Travel and other related costs would have to be met by the concerned Mission
Centers.
• The initial minimum
3 month training period at Sidhbari for the core team would include extensive field level exposures to the ongoing programs.
• On return to their bases the teams would organize community discussions, analyze resources available and formulate action plans. Based on this they would develop a project proposal including time frames and budgets.
•
Proposals are first submitted at Sidhbari to the
National Director, who reviews it with the CORD site
concerned.
• Once approved by the National
Director it is forwarded to the Head Office to be put up
to the Board for its final approval & sanction.
• Implementation of project will commence following approval of proposal and budget by CORD
